Documents OK'd for Pangborn site work



The Washington County Board of Education voted Tuesday night to approve construction documents for site work for a new Pangborn Elementary School.

The vote was 6-0, with board member W. Edward Forrest absent.

The new school will replace the existing Pangborn Elementary School. Officials have said the 84,900-square-foot school will have a capacity of 745 students.

Officials have said the school will open in 2008.




Board approves gift to middle school



A $15,000 gift to Boonsboro Middle School from the school's PTSA was approved Tuesday night by the Washington County Board of Education.

The gift was approved 6-0, with board member W. Edward Forrest absent.

The funds will be used for supplemental instructional materials and equipment, officials said.
