MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Katie Danno scored a team-high 14 points as No. 3 Jefferson beat Mercersburg Academy 58-49 on Saturday.

The Cougars outscored the Blue Storm 19-5 in the third quarter to pull away.

Dezirea Clinton had 13 points for the Cougars (8-4) while Aissa Diehl scored 12 and Keyara Stevenson added 10 points and nine rebounds.

Kelsey Roman had 23 points for the Blue Storm (3-6) while Lauren Dobish had 14 points.

No. 2 Hedgesville 48, Parkersburg 33

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. - Brittany Boarman led Hedgesville in scoring with 16 points and Ashton Butler added 12 as the Eagles (6-3) defeated Parkersburg (3-6).

St. James 36, CHEN 26

FREDERICK, Md. - Caroline Salisbury had 11 points and six rebounds and Heather Lowery had 10 points and 14 rebounds as St. James as won its first game of the season in the Oriole Classic at Maryland School for the Deaf.

Heritage 39, Seaford Christian 31

LANHAM, Md. - Tournament MVP Morgan McIntire had 18 points and five rebounds and all-tourney selection Brianna Dorsey had 10 rebounds as Heritage Academy beat Seaford Christian in the championship game of the Washington Bible College Tournament.

Heritage (9-1) routed Kings Christian Academy 56-8 on Friday. McIntire had 19 points, seven rebounds and five steals for Heritage, while Jen King added 14 points and eight boards and Dorsey had nine steals.

Host Saints sweep duals

SAINT JAMES - St. James went 4-0 at the St. James Duals, beating St. Andrews 78-6, Greater Grace 51-27, Blue Ridge 55-32 and McLean, 75-6.

Mike McClenning (112 pounds), Joey Sutch (119), Colen Stoecker (125), Brad Morris (130), Adam White (145), Omotola Okusanya (152), Hunter Lind (160), Jimmy Sutch (171) and Luke Salisbury (189) all went undefeated for St. James (5-5).

Mercersburg wins 3 of 4

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Mercersburg Academy hosted four matches over two days, winning three of four.

The Blue Storm suffered their first loss of the season Friday to the Potomac School 5-4, before defeating Shady Side 6-3 and capping Saturday with consecutive 7-2 victories over Westminster and Gilman.

Joshua Rosenblat and Leo Watanabe each went undefeated for Mercersburg (9-1).
