Greeting card classes to be offered

The Washington County Recreation Department will offer classes on how to make greeting cards from photos and how to organize pictures.

"Fabulous Photos" will teach participants how to make personalized greeting cards from holiday photos.

A card, envelope and decorative supplies will be available. Participants will need to bring five 4-inch by 6-inch photos.

The class is open to people ages 8 or older.

Participants may attend classes Jan. 27, Feb. 17 or March 10 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Recreation Department's conference room at Hagerstown Community College's Athletic Recreation and Community Center (ARCC).

The registration fee is $5, and a $7 materials fee is to be paid to the instructor on the day of the class.

A "Photo Organization" class is designed to help people organize and file photos, in which up to 600 photos will be sorted and organized in a box, according to the statement.

Pencils and dividers will be provided.

The class is open to everyone, but children who participate must be at least 12 years old.

Participants may attend the class Feb. 10 or March 3 from 10 a.m. to noon at HCC's ARCC.

The registration fee is $5, and an $11 materials fee is to be paid to the instructor on the day of the class.
