Brothers stabbed outside bar

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A man was stabbed three times in the abdomen and his brother was stabbed in the shoulder early Saturday outside the 5th Dimension nightclub near Martinsburg, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff's Department.

Police said an argument between two groups began inside the club at the intersection of Royal Crest Drive and Charles Town Road about 2:30 a.m. The people involved were separated and escorted out of the club, where another confrontation began, police said.

During that altercation, the suspect pulled out a small-bladed knife to stab the 29- and 27-year-old brothers, police said.

The brother who was stabbed three times in the abdomen, was placed in an intensive care unit because of the loss of blood and for a "precautionary internal review," police said.

Police haven't said which hospital the brother was being treated. Police also haven't released the names of the brothers, suspect or others who might have been involved.

Each of the groups consisted of four to eight people. Police believe the suspect and victims know each other.

Saturday's stabbing was at least the second time police were called to 5th Dimension in as many months.

A 26-year-old man was shot several times in November as he was driving out of the parking lot, police have said.
