Booher leads Berkeley Springs to title

HANCOCK - Amber Booher scored a game-high 20 points for Berkeley Springs as the Indians beat host Hancock 68-33 in the championship game of the Hancock Holiday "Shoot the Lights Out" Classic on Saturday night.

Rebecca Trump had 15 points and Ashley Hovermale added 11 for Berkeley Springs (5-4).

Kris Creek had 12 points and three assists for Hancock (1-6) while Shawnda Wills scored 10 points and Samantha Truax added 12 rebounds.

Brooke Whiteside had 19 points, Destane Whiteside scored 14 and Jesse Whiteside added 10 to lead Southern Fulton to a 77-32 victory over Clear Spring in the consolation game.

Shelly Diehl had 11 rebounds for the Indians.

Sarah Dice led Clear Spring with 10 points.

Booher was named MVP of the tournament, while Berkeley Springs' Alex Tamez, Hancock's Creek and Holley Funk, Clear Spring's Dice and Southern Fulton's Destane Whiteside earned all-tournament honors.
