Hoffman Automotive

Dennis Baker of Hoffman Automotive passed the 2007 GM division exam and was awarded the GM Mark of Excellence for his expertise and specialized knowledge of the 2007 Cadillac models.

Baker, who was the top producing Cadillac sales consultant in Washington County for the third quarter of 2006, sold more than $5 million in retail within 12 months and ranked in the top 1 percent nationwide out of 35,200 GM certified sales consultants.

Baker joined the Hoffman Auto Sales team in 1990.

Don Bowers Financial Services

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Don Bowers, owner of Don Bowers Financial Services in Greencastle, recently attended a two-day tax seminar hosted by the National Association of Tax Professionals at the Gaithersburg Hilton.


The seminar reviewed the new tax legislation for the upcoming tax filing season and qualifies for continuing professional education.

Bowers is a registered investment representative with H.D. Vest Investment Services, a nonbank subsidiary of Wells Fargo & Co.

Rose Hill Cemetery

The folowing were elected to the Rose Hill Cemetery Board of Directors:

President, J. Roger Finn; vice president, John H. Urner; treasurer, D. Blaine Weaver; secretary, Robert W. Startzman.

Other trustees are John R. Hershey Jr., Gerald W. Spessard, Philip L. Rohrer, James M. Snyder, Les J. Powlen and John R. Hershey III.


Dena Keltner, office secretary II, has been named Employee of the Month for December at the Roxbury Correctional Institution.

She was given the award for her job performance in the Psychology Department.

She maintains the flow of information for both the psychological and psychiatric services to the institution, among other duties.

She facilitates the psychiatric schedule, which is a complicated process because 18 percent of the inmate population is on psychotropic medication, according to a prepared release.

Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA's Waynesboro office recognized sales professionals Jean Rosenberger and Amy Kuhaneck for their performances in November.

The decision was based on the number of new listings, sales and referrals, attendance at real estate meetings and workshops and customer satisfaction reports.


CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Celeste Snavely, local independent wardrobe consultant for Doncaster, was recognized for sales performance. She was in the top 10 percent of consultants nationwide.

She was recognized during the annual Northeast Region meeting.

Doncaster markets designer clothing through individual appointments.

Members of the Monumental Life Insurance Company's conference trip qualifiers from the district office in Hagerstown included: James Touloumes, Marianne Snyder, Sales Manager Chris Barbuzanes, Melvin Everetts and Steve Livesay.
