INWOOD, W.Va. - Taylar Moore hit a running layup with 6 seconds left to lift host Musselman to a 61-59 comeback victory over Boonsboro in the championship game of the Knouse Foods Holiday Tournament

Nicole Stephenson had a double-double with 21 points and a game-high 17 rebounds for Musselman, which began the fourth quarter down 47-35. Lacey Williams had 13 points for the Applemen (4-3), while Moore scored 12 and Morgan Harms added 10.

Alex Baker led all scorers with 27 points, including four 3-pointers, and Amy Rhoderick added 14 points for the Warriors (4-2).

Musselman's Stephenson and Boonsboro's Baker and Jerica Hewett were named to the all-tournament team.

North 58, Winston Churchill 54

CLARKSBURG, Md. - Cara Thompson had 12 points, seven steals and five rebounds and Kirkston Mitchell scored six of her nine points in overtime as North Hagerstown beat Winston Churchill to win the Clarksburg Howladay Tournament.


North's Shawayna Morel scored seven points, including a tip-in of a missed free throw with 2.2 seconds left in regulation to force overtime.

Veronica Wheeler scored 12 points for the Hubs (6-1), while Valentina Wheeler had 12 rebounds and Larae Allen had seven points, eight boards, four steals and six blocks. Thompson and Allen earned all-tournament honors.

James Buchanan 39, Biglerville 36

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Amy Heisey scored 13 points and hit the game-winning shot as James Buchanan beat Biglerville in the consolation game of the James Buchanan Christmas Tournament.

Heisey added 10 rebounds and Heather Cline had 10 points for the Rockets (2-6).

Huntington 75, Martinsburg 50

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. - Rachel Hull had 21 points and Jamie Hill had nine points for Martinsburg (3-3) in the loss to Huntington in the PVS Holiday Tournament.

Hedgesville 61, Centennial 50

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Ashton Butler had 25 points and Ciera Nicholson scored 12 as Hedgesville (3-2) defeated Centennial in the first round of the Hedgesville Holiday Tournament.

Spring Grove 67, Greencastle 29

HERSHEY, Pa. - Chelsea Wolff scored a team-high 11 points for Greencastle as the Blue Devils (1-9) fell to Spring Grove in the Hershey Holiday Tournament.


Boonsboro 67, Faith Christian 38

INWOOD, W.Va. - Adam Flook had a season-high 26 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead Boonsboro over Faith Christian in the consolation game of the Knouse Foods Holiday Tournament.

Mike DeBarge had 14 points, five steals and four assists, Josh Miller had eight rebounds and Matt Wetzel had six steals for the Warriors (3-1).

Chris Apple had 18 points and eight rebounds for Faith (6-3).

Goretti 59, Southern Garrett 51

OAKLAND, Md. - Kevin Breslin had 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead St. Maria Goretti past Southern Garrett in the Snowball Classic Tournament.

John Duhring had 14 points and Mitch Belella added 13 points and four assists for the Gaels (6-5).

Martinsburg 68, Morgantown 58

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Isaac Thorton had 17 points and seven rebounds and Isaiah Alford had 16 points and seven rebounds to lead Martinsburg over Morgantown (1-2) in the first round of the Martinsburg Hoops Invitational.

Martinsburg (2-0) shot 8-of-9 from 3-point land, including five from Thorton and three from Alford.

Xavier Peters had 15 points and Aaron Crim added five rebounds for the Bulldogs.

Martinsburg will play Jefferson tonight at 8 in the tournament final.

Lancaster Mennonite 59, Smithsburg 47

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Lancaster Mennonite outscored Smithsburg 23-13 in the fourth quarter to pull away in the consolation game of the James Buchanan Christmas Tournament.

Ondre Hardy had 11 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Leopards (1-6). Josh Edwards added nine points.

McConnellsburg 59, Shade 55

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - J.J. Grace led McConnellsburg with 24 points and 10 rebounds and Russell Glazier added nine points as the Spartans (5-4) edged Shade.


Chambersburg boys win at Big Spring

NEWVILLE, Pa. - Chambersburg placed first with 220 points in the boys meet and second with 196 in the girls meet in the 22-team Big Spring Invitational.

Mercersburg Academy placed ninth in the boys competition with 41 points, while Waynesboro was 11th (27), Greencastle-Antrim and James Buchanan tied for 13th (21), Jefferson placed 15th (10), Martinsburg was 17th (6) and Hedgesville was 20th (1).

Jacob Henry of Martinsburg placed ninth in the 200-yard IM in 2:22.00 and Jefferson's Paul Goliwas, Eli Tice, Daniel Whalen and Will Corley placed 10th in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:47.98.

James Buchanan was 10th (40) and Waynesboro 15th (12) in the girls competition.

Megan Martin of Martinsburg placed 14th in the 200 IM in 2:44.23 and Jefferson's Hilary Grabowska, Joselyn Auxer, Michelle Litwin and Tiffany Hamilton finished 14th in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:56.73.
