BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Brad Divel had a game-high 21 points and added 10 rebounds to lead Southern Fulton over Clear Spring, 54-45, in the first round of the Great Tri-State Shootout on Wednesday night.

Jeremy Clingerman had 14 points and Zach Mellott added five assists for the Indians (4-4).

Kyle Crist had 14 points, Keith Gilchrist 11 and Brett Turner 10 for the Blazers (2-3).

Berkeley Springs 81, Hancock 70

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Nathan Sirbaugh had a game-high 28 points, including seven 3-pointers, to lead Berkeley Springs past Hancock in the first round of the Great Tri-State Shootout.

Joseph Wright had 16 points, Foster Sirbaugh 14 and Will Clark 11 and eight rebounds for the Indians (3-2).

Steven Beaver and Josh Unger each had 18 points and Dustin Hull added 11 for the Panthers (2-5).

Berkeley Springs will play Southern Fulton in the championship game today following the consolation game between Clear Spring and Hancock, which tips off at 6 p.m.

Musselman 50, Faith Christian 45

INWOOD, W.Va. - Allen Kees scored 18 points and Lionell Royer added 10 for Musselman as the Applemen (2-3) defeated Faith Christian in the Musselman Holiday Tournament.

H.B. Dunham led Faith Christian (6-2) with 16 points while Justin Walls added 14.

James Wood 56, Boonsboro 44

INWOOD, W.Va. - Adam Flook scored 18 points to lead the Warriors, but Boonsboro made just 7 of 16 free throws in a loss to James Wood at the Musselman Holiday Tournament.

Matt Wetzel added five steals for the Warriors (2-1).

Waynesboro 57, New Oxford 45

NEW OXFORD, Pa. - Kevin Kline led Waynesboro with 16 points, seven rebounds and four blocks as the Indians defeated New Oxford in the New Oxford Tournament.

Zach Helman had eight points and four assists for Waynesboro (5-3), which led 29-15 at halftime.




GIRLS BASKETBALL



North Hagerstown 72, Clarksburg 48

CLARKSBURG, Md. - Larae Allen had a season-high 20 points and added seven rebounds and three blocks as North Hagerstown defeated Clarksburg in the first round of the Clarksburg Holliday Tournament.

Cara Thompson had 12 points, eight assists, six rebounds and four steals and Valentina Wheeler added eight steels for the Hubs (5-1). North will play Winston Churchill in the final today at 6 p.m.

Beall 45, Broadfording 19

WILLIAMSPORT - Emily Stransky had eight points and six rebounds for Broadfording, but the Lions (2-9) fell to Beall in the Doub Ladies Classic.

Brandywine Heights 56, J. Buchanan 36

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Jenny McDaniel had 14 points, eight rebounds and two blocks for James Buchanan in a loss to Brandywine Heights in the James Buchanan Christmas Tournament.

Amy Heisey added seven points and four blocks for the Rockets (1-6).
