Two women flown out after crash

WOODSBORO, Md. - Two women were flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore on Tuesday after a two-truck crash on Old Frederick Road at Links Bridge Road, according to a press release from the Frederick County Sheriff's Department.

Mary Anna Harman, 83, of Rocky Ridge, Md., drove through a stop sign while westbound in a 1999 Chevrolet S-10 on Links Bridge Road just before 6 p.m., according to the release. The S-10 struck the passenger side of a northbound 2006 Chevrolet 1500, according to the release.

Harman was in critical condition Tuesday night, a shock-trauma coordinator said.

Lynda Joyce Herren, 54, who was riding in the Chevrolet 1500, was in good condition, the coordinator said.

The driver of the Chevrolet 1500, William Joseph Herren, 55, of Rocky Ridge, declined medical treatment at the scene, according to the release.
