Christian Light Bookstore to move

December 22, 2006|by TARA REILLY

Another business will be relocating to make way for an Olive Garden Italian Restaurant near Hagerstown.

Christian Light Bookstore Manager Diane Armstrong said Thursday the bookstore will move from Valley Mall property to a site between Michaels and David's Bridal in the Crosspoint Shopping Center.

Crosspoint is across the street from Valley Mall in Halfway, just outside the Hagerstown city limits. Other stores in the Crosspoint shopping center include Target, Petco and Kohl's.

Firestone Tire and Service Center, which is connected to the bookstore, will be moving near Country Inn and Suites, near the mall.

Once the building is vacant, it will be torn down so the Olive Garden can be built. The restaurant hopes to open by the end of October or early November of 2007.

Armstrong said Christian Light hadn't planned on moving until it was told the building would be torn down.

"That just kind of made us really look quickly," Armstrong said.
