PARKERSBURG, W.Va. - Dewey McDonald scored a game-high 19 points as Jefferson beat host Parkersburg 73-57 on Thursday night to remain undefeated.

Vance Hosby had a double-double with 12 points and 15 rebounds to go along with five blocks for the Cougars (3-0), who trailed 18-15 at the end of the first quarter before taking control. Jefferson led 33-25 at halftime and 47-34 entering the final period.

Ryland Newman had 15 points and six assists and Marquise Jones added 12 points for Jefferson.

Tuscarora 63, North Hagerstown 53

FREDERICK, Md. - Brian Kidd hit five 3-pointers and scored 18 of his game-high 26 points in the second half as Tuscarora (4-2) came back from a 20-12 first-quarter deficit to beat North Hagerstown.

Diez Johnson had 18 points and seven rebounds and Tyrone Wheeler had 11 points and three steals for the Hubs (1-4).


Hedgesville 66, Roslyn 45

LONG ISLAND, N.Y. - Tournament MVP Denver Effland had 23 points to lead Hedgesville over Roslyn (N.Y.) in the Thomas Robinson Memorial final.

Luke Grunseth had 16 points and Mike Lopez had 11 points for the Eagles (5-0). Both were named to the all-tourney team.

Shippensburg 51, Waynesboro 50

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Ricky Ott made two foul shots with no time left in regulation to lift Shippensburg (5-3, 2-1) over Waynesboro in a Mid-Penn Capital game.

Terrell Rickard had 17 points and Kevin Kline had 13 points for the Indians (4-3, 1-2).


North Hagerstown 62, Tuscarora 36

Cara Thompson led North Hagerstown with 14 points, six rebounds, three steals and three assists.

Shawayna Morel had 10 points, seven rebounds, five steals and four assists, Larae Allen had 10 points, seven rebounds and two blocks and Kirkston Mitchell had 10 points for the Hubs (4-1).

James Buchanan 52, Bible Baptist 31

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Brittany Harryman had a game-high 17 points and seven rebounds to lead James Buchanan to its first victory of the season.

Carrie Yeatts had 10 points, four steals and four assists and Amy Heisey had 10 points for the Rockets (1-5).

Northern Bedford 41, McConnellsburg 26

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Sarah Paylor had seven points, Kayla Bailey had five rebounds and Gretchen Swope had five steals for McConnellsburg as the Spartans (3-5, 1-4) lost to Northern Bedford (7-1, 6-0) in a Sideling Hill League game.

Clarke County 59, Martinsburg 55

BERRYVILLE, Va. - Rachel Hull had 19 points and a career-high 20 rebounds for Martinsburg in a loss to Clarke County.

Iesha Robinson had 14 points and five rebounds and Dakeea Marshall had 10 rebounds for the Bulldogs (2-2).

CVCS 40, Shalom 29

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Miranda Payne had a game-high 29 points for Cumberland Valley Christian (6-2, 4-1) in an MDCC win over Shalom Christian.

Alexis Marquiss led the Flames (3-5, 2-3) with 12 points and seven rebounds.

Goretti 50, Clear Spring 25

Erica DiMercurio had 14 points to lead St. Maria Goretti over Clear Spring in a nonleague game.

Sarah Spierenburg had 10 points and five blocks and Carissa Grove had 10 points and six rebounds for the Gaels (7-2). Kathleen Costello added five blocks and four assists.

Carley Snyder led the Blazers (1-4) with nine points.
