O'Neill Physical Therapy Services

Judy Zube, a physical therapist with O'Neill Physical Therapy Services, recently attended a continuing education course entitled "Osteoporosis: There Is Something You Can Do About It."

The course focused on exercises to prevent osteoporosis and exercises for people with osteoporosis or osteopenia.

Apparatus Repair & Engineering Inc.

Kevin J. Miller, vice president and co-owner of Apparatus Repair & Engineering Inc. in Hagerstown, has been selected secretary/treasurer of the Electrical Apparatus Service Association.

He was installed at the association's annual convention in June in Las Vegas.

Miller has served on EASA's board of directors for 5 1/2 years. He previously was a chapter officer for EASA's mid-Atlantic chapter.



Correctional Officer II Michael Grim has been named the Maryland Correctional Training Center's Employee of the Month for December.

Grim works several posts within the institution on the 4-12 shift. He was in the officers' dining hall when a piece of bread became lodged in a fellow officer's throat. With his quick response to the situation, he performed the Heimlich maneuver and dislodged the bread and averted a serious incident.

Grim has worked at the Maryland Correctional Training Center since April 1990.


Anthony Caudo, correctional officer II, has been named Employee of the Month at the Maryland Correctional Institution-Hagerstown.

Caudo is a member of the prison's TAC team, the Weapons Cadre, and often is selected to work on special projects for the Division of Correction. He has been employed by the State of Maryland since 2001.

John A. Sharon, an employee at the Maryland Correctional Institution-Hagerstown, was promoted to correctional officer sergeant on Oct. 24.

He has been with the Division of Correction for 19 years.


FREDERICK, Md. - Landscape architect Andrew Durham has joined the Daft-McCune-Walker team.

DMW, a land design and development firm, has offices in Towson and Frederick.

Durham has more than 20 years of experience as a licensed landscape architect. He will work as a team leader out of the Towson office.

FREDERICK, Md. - Coleen Djouha has earned the designation of Excellent Beginnings Program Achiever for sales accomplishment and professionalism.

Djouha has attained certain sales levels in her first 15 weeks with the direct sales fashion jewelry company.
