Quilt raffle to benefit patients in cardiac rehab program

December 15, 2006

A queen-size, heart-motif quilt was handmade by the cardiac rehab department and other Washington County Hospital employees to raise money for the cardiac rehab scholarship fund.

The fund enables uninsured and underinsured patients to participate in the cardiac rehab program, an exercise and education program designed to improve quality of life for patients who have a heart condition or have had a heart attack.

Raffle tickets cost $1 each or six for $5, and are available at the Washington County Hospital gift shop, The Boutique LLC, L&L Classic Clothing, Figurehead II, Lena's of Hagerstown, Basketful of Gifts and Maggie's Hangups.

The drawing for the winning ticket will be Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007, at Robinwood Medical Center during "Wisdom from the Heart: Women and Heart Disease," an educational program, dinner and fashion show.
