Print sales benefit school

December 11, 2006

Benjamin Art Gallery, LLC, team Clifford Springer, Eugene Sappington and Molly Amos, along with artist Rebecca Pearl, extend a warm appreciation to Vincent Groh of Groh Reality, who purchased "On Time - Walnut Lane," the third original watercolor painting in the Hagerstown Series.

The gallery released limited-edition prints of "On Time - Walnut Lane" in November. A portion of the proceeds from each print were donated to the nonprofit St. Mary School.

"On Time - Walnut Lane" is Pearl's third painting of Hagerstown and provides a historic view looking north on Walnut Street (formerly Walnut Lane). The winter scene features the No. 42 steam engine arriving at the Cumberland Valley railroad station, which was torn down in 1967. St. Mary Catholic Church stands proudly in the background and brick row houses, which no longer exist today, line the left side of the street.

Limited-edition prints are available for $79. To purchase a print or for more information, call Benjamin Art Gallery at 877-797-4775 or go to www.benjaminartgallery.com.
