Ronald G. Ammerman, 60


SEPT. 29, 1946-DEC. 7, 2006

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Ronald Giles Ammerman, 60, of Martinsburg, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006, at City Hospital.

Born Sept. 29, 1946, he was the son of Francina E. Ball Krauss and the late Ronald Lee Ammerman.

He was employed as a truck driver by MDS Trucking and Spurgeon Trucking.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Margaret Ellen "Micki" Fulk Ammerman; one daughter, Zoe E. Ammerman at home; three sons, Andrew L. Ammerman of Alaska, Ronald G. Ammerman of Altoona, Pa., and Robert Ammerman of Cleveland; one half sister, Brenna Ammerman; and three grandchildren.

Services and visitation will be at McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow, Pa.

A memorial service will be held in Martinsburg at a later date.

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Wayne Roger Marville, 63, of 4456 Statler Road, died Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Feb. 8, 1943, in Jonesboro, Ark., he was the son of George R. Marville of Quincy, Pa., and the late Evelyn M. Prettyman Marville.

He was a 1961 graduate of Easton (Md.) High School.

He was employed as a corporate pilot by Grove Manufacturing.

He served in the Army Reserves of Hagerstown, and the Air National Guard of Martinsburg, W.Va.

He attended Greencastle Baptist Church.

He was a member of Tail Winds Flying Club of Hagerstown, and Miles River Yacht Club of St. Michaels, Md.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Debbie L. Haines Marville, whom he married June 2, 1974; one daughter, Ashlee M. Marville of Chesapeake, Va.; one son, Shane R. Marville of Greencastle; one brother, Gary R. Marville of Beaufort, S.C.; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Greencastle Baptist Church. The Rev. David F. Rasmussen will officiate.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, Franklin/Fulton County Unit, 384 Floral Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201 or American Diabetes Association, 219 W. Second St., Waynesboro, PA 17268.

Gerald C. Smith, 72, of Potomac Towers, 11 W. Baltimore St. in Hagerstown, died Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, at Washington County Hospital.

Born April 1, 1934, in Boonsboro, he was the son of the late Roy and Annie Catherine Haupt Smith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty P. Smith, in 1997.

He was a graduate of Boonsboro High School.

He was employed as a security guard by Winchester Hall in Frederick, Md.

He was a member of the Church of Christ in Hagerstown.

He is survived by his companion, Vivian I. Bishop of Hagerstown.

He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

Services and burial will be private.

There will be no viewing or visitation.

Arrangements are by Bast Funeral Home, Boonsboro.
