Born Feb. 8, 1943, in Jonesboro, Ark., he was the son of George R. Marville of Quincy, Pa., and the late Evelyn M. Prettyman Marville.
He was a 1961 graduate of Easton (Md.) High School.
He was employed as a corporate pilot by Grove Manufacturing.
He served in the Army Reserves of Hagerstown, and the Air National Guard of Martinsburg, W.Va.
He attended Greencastle Baptist Church.
He was a member of Tail Winds Flying Club of Hagerstown, and Miles River Yacht Club of St. Michaels, Md.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Debbie L. Haines Marville, whom he married June 2, 1974; one daughter, Ashlee M. Marville of Chesapeake, Va.; one son, Shane R. Marville of Greencastle; one brother, Gary R. Marville of Beaufort, S.C.; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Greencastle Baptist Church. The Rev. David F. Rasmussen will officiate.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.

Gerald C. Smith, 72, of Potomac Towers, 11 W. Baltimore St. in Hagerstown, died Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, at Washington County Hospital.
Born April 1, 1934, in Boonsboro, he was the son of the late Roy and Annie Catherine Haupt Smith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty P. Smith, in 1997.
He was a graduate of Boonsboro High School.
He was employed as a security guard by Winchester Hall in Frederick, Md.
He was a member of the Church of Christ in Hagerstown.
He is survived by his companion, Vivian I. Bishop of Hagerstown.
He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
Services and burial will be private.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
