In the Darrell Witte Commercial Major Men's League, Chris Rogers tossed a perfect 300 game, his third at Dual Lanes and added games of 205 and 267 for a 722 set. For the perfect game, Rogers will receive a plaque and $100 from Dual Lanes and awards from the U.S. Bowling Congress.
Dave Vulgamott tossed games of 229, 279 and 280 for a 788 set to earn a $25 Dual Lanes house award for bowling a 775-799 and an award from the U.S. Bowling Congress.
In the Emma Lancaster Ladies League, Brenda Newlin tossed games of 279, 268 and 190 for a 737 set. For the outstanding set, Brenda will receive a plaque and $50 Dual Lanes and an award from the U.S. Bowling Congress.
Pentz wins Thanksgiving tournament
Brian Pentz was the winner of the B.P. Lesky Distributors/Coors Light, Coca-Cola and Storm Bowling Products Thanksgiving Eve Scratch Singles Tournament at Dual Lanes. Pentz was the fifth highest qualifier of the 48 entries with a six game scratch total of 1,430.
Other qualifiers included 4: Brad Hose, 1,436; 3: Bob Borne Jr., 1,448; 2: John Barnes, 1,463; 1: Leon Claggett, 1,469. In the stepladder finals, Pentz defeated Hose 225-174; Borne Jr. 248-224; Barnes 212-197; and Claggett 237-235.
Pentz was awarded $250 and a Storm Jolt bowling ball for the victory.
During qualifying, Chris Rogers tossed a perfect 300 game, Matt Wastler a 297 game which included 11 consecutive strikes to earn awards from the U.S. Bowling Congress.
Tournament champions
John Barnes and Sean Hine were the winners of the Four-States Trailer Sales/Mid-Atlantic Veterinary Hospital/Storm Bowling Products Scratch Doubles Tournament Sunday at Dual Lanes. The duo were the top qualifiers with a 12-game scratch total of 2,760. Other qualifiers of the 44 teams entered were 2: Jeff Poston and Kelly Chapman, 2,730; 3: Jeremy Gilbert and Jason Sterner, 2,705; 4: Dave Baker and Jason Baker, 2,699; and 5: D.J. Shawyer and Preston Semler, 2,686.
In the Baker Doubles Finals, Shawyer and Semler (209) defeated Baker and Baker (206) and Gilbert and Sterner (191).
Poston and Chapman defeated Shawyer and Semler 209-184; Barnes and Hine defeated Postman and Chapman 224-206.
Barnes and Hine received $500 and Storm Jolt bowling balls for the victory.
During the qualifying Travis Yeates and Jason Baker tossed perfect 300 games to earn an award from the U.S. Bowling Congress.
