C-SPAN bus visits schools in Williamsport

December 08, 2006

The C-SPAN School Bus, a 45-foot mobile television production studio and demonstration center, visited Washington County this week.

On Monday, students and teachers from Williamsport High School toured the bus. The bus was at Springfield Middle School on Tuesday.

Local cable companies, such as Antietam Cable, fund C-SPAN as a public service to its customers.

"It's really important to start young, to get involved politically and get their voices heard," said Jonathan Berens, marketing assistant for Antietam Cable.

Berens added that Antietam Cable would like to have this become an annual visit for county schools.
