CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A Chambersburg man convicted in a 2004 shooting at a Chambersburg bar was sentenced Wednesday in Franklin County Court to five to 10 years in state prison, but authorities will first have to track him down.

Dallas Jabbar Roman, 26, formerly of 1024 Warm Spring Road, was sentenced in absentia by Judge John R. Walker on one count of aggravated assault. Roman pleaded guilty to the charge in August in exchange for charges of attempted homicide, recklessly endangering another person and two firearms violations being dismissed.

Roman had been out of jail on $100,000 unsecured bail pending his sentencing, according to court records.

Roman was one of three men involved in a Dec. 27, 2004, incident at Rob & Dara's on Hollywell Avenue.

Walker's sentencing order included a $300 fine and more than $1,300 in restitution.

Information on the status of the two other men's criminal cases was not available.
