Sarah Spierenberg had a game-high 18 points to go with six rebounds and three blocks for Goretti in a win over Heritage.

Kathleen Costello had 12 points and seven rebounds and Erica DiMercurio added five assists for the Gaels (3-0).

S. Fulton 65, Hyndman 9

WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - Destane Whiteside had 12 points and four rebounds and Brooke Whiteside had 10 points and four assists as Southern Fulton routed Hyndman in the season opener for both teams.

Natasha Bard had a team-high 10 rebounds for the Indians.

C. Ridge 48, McConnellsburg 31

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Michelle Baker had seven points and Courtney McClure had six rebounds for McConnellsburg in a Sideling Hill League loss to Chestnut Ridge.


The Spartans (1-2, 0-1) shot 11 of 66 from the field, including 3 of 31 in the first half.

CVCS 47, Faith 41

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Cumberland Valley Christian School turned up the defense and put its mind on rebounding in the second half to pull away from Faith Christian for a Mason Dixon Christian Conference win.

Miranda Payne scored 26 points, 12 in the second half, as the Blazers (2-0, 2-0) outscored Faith 25-21 in the second half.

Lauren Peterson had 10 points and seven rebounds for CVCS while Kim Sensenderfer added six points and eight rebounds.


CVCS 61, Faith 45

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Andrew Larson had 17 points, six assists and six steals for CVCS in an MDCC victory against Faith.

Charles McBeth had a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds for the Blazers (2-1, 2-0).

Chris Apple had a game-high 27 points and 12 rebounds for the Falcons (2-1, 1-1). Austin Arvon added 10 points and six rebounds.

CVCS lost to Scotland 53-41 in overtime on Friday. Larson led the Blazers with 11 points.

Breslin makes all-MAIT team

Kevin Breslin, who scored 23 points in Goretti's 70-66 win over Penn Charter on Saturday, was named to the MAIT All-Tournament team.

Archbisop Carroll junior Kristopher Joseph was Most Valuable Player and Devon Elliott of Bishop Loughlin was Most Outstanding. Others named to the team were Danny Branch and Rodney McGruder of Archbisop Carroll, and Jason Johnson and Shavar Richardson of Bishop Loughlin.
