CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Allee Rife led Chambersburg with a double-double, scoring 27 points and hauling in 28 rebounds as the Trojans defeated Carlisle 61-43 in the Mid-Penn Commonwealth on Tuesday.

The 5-foot-11 senior center had 15 offensive rebounds in the Trojans' season opener.

Logan Lentz had 10 points, seven steals and four assists, Jess Myers scored 11 points and Steph Addleman added four assists for the Trojans (1-0, 1-0).

Boonsboro 50, South Carroll 32

BOONSBORO - Alex Baker scored 19 points as Boonsboro cruised over South Carroll.

Jerica Hewett had 14 points, six rebounds and seven steals for Boonsboro (1-0), while Amy Rhoderick added 12 rebounds.

North 50, Liberty 36

ELDERSBURG, Md. - Cara Thompson had 11 points, 10 rebounds and five steals to lead North Hagerstown over Liberty.

Shawayna Morel had 10 points, six rebounds and three blocks for the Hubs (1-0) and Kirkston Mitchell added nine points.

Grace 40, Broadfording 30

Megan Cox scored 15 points and Rebecca Morgan added 12 as Grace Academy defeated Broadfording Christian in the Mason Dixon Christian Conference.

Cassie Johns had 11 rebounds and Kristin Serafini added eight for Grace (2-0, 1-0).

Heritage 52, Shalom 36

Morgan McIntire had a game-high 24 points to lead Heritage Academy over Shalom Christian in an MDCC game.

Brittany Eberly had 13 points and 14 rebounds for the Eagles (3-1, 2-0), while Jen King had 10 rebounds and Brianna Dorsey added six rebounds.

Berkeley Springs 81, Clear Spring 36

CLEAR SPRING - Rebecca Trump had 17 points and six rebounds to aid Berkeley Springs' season-opening win.

Alex Tamez had 13 points, nine assists and five steals for Berkeley Springs (1-0) while Amber Bouer scored 15 points, Sarah Risinger had 11 and Danielle Shields tallied six rebounds.

MSD 60, Hancock 27

FREDERICK, Md. - Shawnda Wills had seven points and 11 rebounds and Holley Funk added seven rebounds for Hancock in a loss to Maryland School for the Deaf in the season opener for both teams.

Waynesboro 47, East Pennsboro 43

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Mallory Wishard had a game-high 23 points and added 10 rebounds to lead Waynesboro over East Pennsboro in the season opener for both teams.

Jillian Aldridge had 12 rebounds for the Maidens.

FSK 41, Smithsburg 33

UNION BRIDGE, Md. - Cara Jordan had a team-high 12 points for Smithsburg in a season-opening loss to FSK.

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Amy Heisey and Heather Kline had five points and six rebounds apiece for James Buchanan (0-1).

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Sarah Rider had 12 points, while Chelsea Wolff added six assists and five rebounds as Greencastle (0-3) lost a six-point halftime lead in a loss to Camp Hill (1-2)

Heritage 53, Shalom 39

Steven Barthalow had 17 points, six assists and five steals as Heritage Academy defeated visiting Shalom Christian in an MDCC game.

Phil Thurber had 13 points for Heritage (3-0, 2-0), while Hamilton Stamper had 11 points and eight rebounds and Matt Shank had eight points and nine rebounds.

Caleb Hussack had 10 points for Shalom (1-3, 0-1).

Grace 82, Broadfording 74

Zack Koontz led Grace Academy with 33 points, 11 rebounds and five steals as the Knights outscored Broadfording Christian 18-10 in overtime to defeat the Lions in an MDCC game.

Noah King hit three 3-pointers in the final two minutes of regulation and Patrick Salvagno hit a shot with two seconds left for Grace (2-2, 1-0) to force overtime. Chris Culp scored 14 points for Grace.

Boonsboro 51, South Carroll 39

SYKESVILLE, Md. - Adam Flook scored 21 points to lead Boonsboro to a season-opening win over South Carroll.

Mike DeBarge added 10 points, 10 rebounds and five assists for the Warriors (1-0).

Smithsburg 59, Francis Scott Key 47

SMITHSBURG - Josh Edwards led Smithsburg with 21 points in its season opener.

Ondre Hardy had 11 points and eight rebounds for the Leopards (1-0) and Jon Reid had six points, six rebounds and four blocks.

Tyler Forrester led Francis Scott Key (0-1) with 16 points.

Sidwell Friends 62, St. James 47

ST. JAMES - Eddie Dorsey scored a team-high 10 points, while Ben Farquhar had four steals and Mike Russ added four rebounds for St. James (1-1, 0-1) in its Mid Atlantic Conference opener.

Chambersburg 63, Carlisle 55

CARLISLE, Pa. - Armond Perez scored 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds for Chambersburg as the Trojans won their Mid-Penn Commonwealth opener over Carlisle.

Aaron Hill had 15 points for Chambersburg (2-0, 1-0).

Waynesboro 52, East Pennsboro 42

ENOLA, Pa. - Terrell Rickard led Waynesboro with 17 points as the Indians rebounded from a nine-point halftime deficit to defeat East Pennsboro.

Kevin Kline scored 13 points for Waynesboro (2-1).

Md. School for Deaf 94, Hancock 41

HANCOCK - Maryland School for the Deaf ruined Hancock's season opener with a big first half.

The Orioles (2-0) marched to a 55-22 lead after the first two quarters. Daniel Fava led the Orioles with 22 points.

Dustin Hull had 10 points for Hancock, while Steven Beaver added seven points, five rebounds and five assists.

James Buchanan 69, Susquenita 47

COVE, Pa. - Shane Rife had a game-high 26 points and nine rebounds to lead James Buchanan.

Dion Lehman had 19 points, five assists and four steals, Josh McCauley had 13 points and Sawyer Hollenshead added eight assists and two steals for the Rockets (2-1).

Southern Fulton 62, Hyndman 38

HYNDMAN, Pa. - Brad Divel led Southern Fulton with 20 points, six rebounds and five steals.

Zach Mellott had 11 points, eight assists, six rebounds and four steals for the Indians (2-0).

Chestnut Ridge 54, McConnellsburg 44

FISHERTOWN, Pa. - J.J. Grace had a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds and Mike Defibaugh had 10 points for McConnellsurg (2-1, 0-1) in a Sideling Hill League loss to Chestnut Ridge (2-1, 1-0).
