Gifts for less than $10

A fun way to shop is to just go to every store you like. When I went Christmas shopping with my mom, we went all over the place. We went to Prime Outlets at Hagerstown, Valley Mall and smaller shopping strips.

Also an easier way to get gifts is online. There are many Web sites selling gifts. I like to go to www.lake side.com. It has some of the best gifts you could find.

If you want to go shopping but you find there are just too many stores, make a list of your favorite shops or shops you want to see. A list will make the shopping spree a bit easier. If you have a tight budget, then you could make a list of the cheapest stores.

Gifts for under $10

· Cookies or soups in a jar - Gifts in a Jar recipe books can be bought at Michaels or A.C. Moore for $9.95. They are a great gift and cheap if you have a small budget. I made the chocolate chunk brownie recipe for all the moms in my family and decorated the jars.

· Claire's Boutique - This Valley Mall store for girls has so many things under $10 that there are too many to list. Boys, don't underestimate these stores. They have movie trinkets such "Napoleon Dynamite" and "Pirates of the Caribbean." I bought my uncle a "Napoleon Dynamite" talking key chain, mouse pad, flip book and lip balm for under $10.

· Big Lots in Hagerstown has the most items under $10 of any store my mom and I visited. I bought a barbecue sauce set for my cousin for $8, and a piece calendar set for my aunt for $2. There was also a hot-chocolate Ferris wheel and merry-go-round (they actually spun!) with different types of cocoa for $10.

· Bed, Bath and Beyond in Hagerstown has a wide variety of inexpensive gifts. I bought a set of golf binoculars for my cousin for $10, and a purse organizer for my grandmother for $9.95.

· Village Country Peddler has cooking mixes. I bought a Cinnamon Mix bottle with recipes for $9.95.

· At K B Toys at Valley Mall, I bought a board game for my dad (don't tell him) for $7.95. The store have lots of other games for under $10.

· Another great place to find cheap gifts is Sam's Club (for those who have a membership). I bought a daily calendar for my Dad for $7.95.

· Movie tickets from either Regal Valley Mall Stadium 16 or Hagerstown 10 Cineplex on Leitersburg Pike for $5.50 each. I bought some for my cousins.

· Cracker Barrel restaurant's gift shop has many things under $10.

· Food - you never can go wrong with food.

· You can also give mugs that have sayings printed on them for people who are crazy about coffee, tea or hot chocolate.
