Extra Innings

Extra Innings Hagerstown indoor baseball and softball training center, will hold a grand opening on Saturday, Dec. 9, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. at 16038 Business Parkway, Huyett Business Park, Hagerstown.

Visitors to Extra Innings on that day will be able to try out the facility's state- of-the-art batting cages and tunnels for free. Raffles will take place throughout the day with prizes such as $5 off tunnel rentals, Extra Innings apparel, merchandise and gift certificates. There also will be ice cream cones compliments of Maugansville Creamery.

The training center has five indoor batting tunnels, three coin operated automated batting cages, members-only training area, video analysis of hitting and pitching mechanics, a birthday area and a pro shop.

ABC

The Associated Builders and Contractors Inc. Cumberland Valley Chapter held its October dinner meeting at Four Points Hagerstown.

The meeting focused on some of the benefits ABC provides to the members. Speakers were Andy Della-Rocca, Enterprise Fleet Services; Todd Haupt, Sharrett's Inc. and Richard Asher, H&A Consulting.

HCC

Hagerstown Community College's Technical Innovation Center, in conjunction with MarketingProfs.com, is presenting a series of "virtual seminars" on a variety of marketing topics.

The seminars are live broadcasts and include interactive question-and-answer periods. Below is the upcoming schedule:

· Dec. 6 - "Killer Web Content: Make the sale. Deliver the service. Build the brand."

· Dec. 7 - "Best Practices in Web Content: Beauty Doesn't Matter (Much)."

· Dec. 14 - "Crash Course #4: Integrated Media Planning in Direct Marketing to Consumers."

The seminars begin at noon and end at 1:30 p.m.

The seminars will be held at Hagerstown Community College, in Conference Room 208 of the Technical Innovation Center, 11400 Robinwood Drive in Hagerstown.

The seminars are free and open to the public. Organizers request those interested register by the day prior to the seminar date.

Prime Outlets

Two stores recently opened at Prime Outlets-Hagerstown.

Plow & Hearth has opened a 7,400-square-foot store at the outlets.

Plow & Hearth's product categories include hearth and fireplace accessories, indoor furniture and furnishings, outdoor furniture, lawn and garden tools and products, decorative lawn and garden accessories, and bird and nature-related products.

Gap Outlet Kids & Baby, has moved into Suite 220.

Gap Outlet Kids & Baby features clothing and accessories for newborns and children.
