"To the lady who was shopping with her 9-year-old grandson on Black Friday, if she would put another article in with a number where I could reach her, I would like to help to replace the ball that her grandson bought, because I think it's terrible what people do on Black Friday, and I agree with her. That's the last time I'm shopping on Black Friday. If she would just put another message in, I sure would appreciate it. Thank you, and have a very Merry Christmas."
"How can you teach a child respect when you let a child throw a pie in a teacher's face as a reward? We wonder why the kids are bad. Go figure."
"I don't know what it is with people in Hagerstown - I just don't understand. My wife has a private handicapped spot on King Street, and people insist on parking there. It says 'private space' right on there. Even anybody that has handicapped tags that park there or has one of those clip-ons that park there know when you see a number and 'private space' on it, it's a private space. You have to know this, or you're not really handicapped. I guess people just want to give the City of Hagerstown $105. I'm waiting now for somebody in her spot. I'm calling the police right now. I'll bet they've made almost $2,000 this year on that spot. Keep parking there, Hagerstown."
"I love how you people from Hagerstown call and complain about hearing ambulances and fire trucks and police cars on a Sunday morning, and how you don't like being at a hospital because you hear a loud noisy inmate next to you. Wake up - it's almost 2007. People in this world are crazy, and the world's gone crazy. If you don't like it, then oh, well - get over it. It's all crazy because nobody wants to stand up and take their country back."
"Way to go, teachers. Let a kid throw a pie in your face as a reward. That is really teaching them respect and manners."
"Concerning the prostitution in Hagerstown: You're going to have stiffer penalties for the johns. If the johns weren't out looking, there would be no need for prostitution. I think you should start putting the johns' pictures in the paper, instead of just their names."
"In regards to the kids throwing tins with whipped cream at the teachers, how about teaching the children they don't have to be rewarded for everything they do. It's the right thing to do to help someone that doesn't have."
"I have an opinion about the 'Thumbs Down' opinion about the two young couples going to Annapolis to voice their opinions of why they think the new hospital shouldn't be put at Robinwood. I hope they take videos and pictures and petition signatures with them, so that the Annapolis representatives see how all this nonsense is just a terrible accident waiting to happen."
"I have to respond to the person complaining about the treatment in the emergency room. I, too, was subject to a similar situation. I was in a lot of pain; I was having an asthma attack, and I had to listen to the ranting and ravings of a prisoner, too. It was very disturbing, and they did nothing to calm him down. He screamed and yelled the whole time I was there. There were several elderly ladies who were very frightened. I just feel like why do we have to put up with this? I totally agree with the person that wrote that in there about taking her daughter to the hospital. I know she was in pain and misery, and when you're ill, you don't want to hear somebody screaming, especially a prisoner."
