St. John's Episcopal Church, the Rev. Scott Bellows will preach this Sunday at the 8 and 10:15 a.m. communion services.

The Great Litany will be read at the early service and sung in procession at the later service. The parish choir and Laurie Baker on the flute will provide music at the later service.

The St. Nicholas Fair begins at 11:30 a.m.

Christian education classes for all ages begin at 9 a.m. The adult forum will address Spiritual Disciplines.

St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Pastor David Kaplan will be preaching this Sunday at the 8:15 a.m. chapel communion service and the 10:30 a.m. communion service on the topic, New Days Coming.

Sunday school for all ages begins at 9:15 a.m.

St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Smithsburg, the Rev. Mark C. Mooney will share a message on the topic, The King and I, at the 9:30 a.m. communion service this Sunday. Mooney and his puppet friends will also highlight the morning service.

First Baptist Church, the Rev. Thom Smith will speak at the 11 a.m. service this Sunday on the topic, The First Christians.

St. Catherine Eastern Orthodox Church, the congregation's 25th anniversary celebration begins today at 4:30 p.m. with the annual St. Nicholas party for the children.

Vespers are tonight at 6:30 p.m. with Metropolitan Herman, followed by a reception.

On Sunday, Metropolitan Herman will concelebrate with Father Dennis Buck the Divine Liturgy of the 25th Sunday after Pentecost, The Rich Young Man.

The 25th anniversary banquet will be held at Four Points Sheraton in Hagerstown at 1 p.m. Sunday. Metropolitan Herman will be honored. The school church children will present a play.

The Divine Liturgy of St. Nicholas is Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 10 a.m.

The Nativity Fast continues until Dec. 25, the Nativity of Christ.

Christ Reformed UCC in Cavetown, the 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday will feature Pastor Carol Hallman speaking on the topic, Hope-Filled Waiting.

New Hope Church of Christ, 30 W. Salisbury St., Williamsport, Evangelist Thomas Huff will continue a series, Through the Bible, this Sunday on Judges, Ruth and Samuel.

The service and Sunday school begin at 9 a.m. in the old Williamsport Ambulance Company building beside the post office.

Bible study on Wednesdays is at 7 p.m. at the ambulance hall.
