Christ Reformed UCC,117 W. Main St., Sharpsburg, a program entitled Illuminate the Season will be held today at 2:30 p.m., prior to the Antietam Battlefield Illumination.

The program will feature guest organist Jonas Dawson and soloists Shannon Draper and Kelsi Phillips singing Christmas carols and songs of the season.

Unity Church in Frederick, 1 W. Ninth St., Frederick, Md., the film, "2012: The Odyssey" will be the next offering in the fall series.

The prophetic film will be shown today at 2 and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 6 p.m.

St. Thomas' Episcopal Church, Hancock, the annual Advent Festival of Lessons and Carols will begin at 7:30 p.m. this Sunday featuring the combined choirs of St. Thomas' and St. John's Episcopal in Frostburg.


The program will be preceded by the Advent dinner at 6 p.m.

Eastern Elementary School, 1320 Yale Drive, Hagerstown, The LifeHouse will present The Escape Clause (How to Get Off the Naughty List) this Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

Santa Claus will be there, along with horse and carriage rides and a free holiday meal.

Grace United Methodist Church,712 Church St., Hagerstown, Christmas treats such as cookies, nuts, candy and cakes will be available Saturday, Dec. 9, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There will also be sandwiches and soups available to eat in or carry out.

House of Prayer for All People Deliverance Ministries, 116 E. Race St., Martinsburg, W.Va., Frances Caffey and Gertrude Dixon will be preaching at a two-day revival beginning Dec. 9 at 4 p.m.

Services on Dec. 10 will be at 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
