Teen faces charges after police drug buy

A 15-year-old boy faces drug charges after police say he sold crack cocaine to an informant Wednesday in Hagerstown.

The boy is charged with distribution of crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine, possession of controlled-dangerous substances paraphernalia and resisting arrest, the Hagerstown Police Department said.

He was arrested after allegedly selling $50 worth of crack cocaine to an informant at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday near Ross and Concord streets, police said.

Frederick, Md., man faces drug charges

FREDERICK, Md. - A Frederick motorist who was pulled over for a traffic violation was charged with drug possession after a police dog scanned his vehicle, the Frederick County Sheriff's Department said.


Michael L. Curtis, 28, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia after the traffic stop at about 11:20 p.m. Tuesday on Crestwood Boulevard near Corporate Drive, the Sheriff's Department said.

He was pulled over for failing to have proper tag-light illumination, the Sheriff's Department said.

Girl, 13, charged in school bomb threat

A 13-year-old girl is charged with making a written bomb threat at Northern Middle School in Hagerstown, police said.

A threat was found inside the school at about 8:20 a.m. Wednesday, according to Hagerstown Police.

School staff helped police identify a suspect, police said.

The girl, whose name was not released, is charged with making a false statement regarding a destructive device, disturbing school operations and malicious destruction of property.

Man charged with disorderly conduct

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A Chambersburg man was charged with disorderly conduct after an incident at 8:32 a.m. Thursday, Chambersburg police said in a news release.

Police said Mark R. Farley, 41, of 141 E. Vine St., was thought to be unconcious along Philadelphia Avenue, but he ran south when an ambulance arrived. He attempted to enter a Vine Street home, police said.

"Due to Farley's disruptive behavior and the significant inconvenience Farley caused to the public, a citation was issued to Farley and he was released to a friend," police wrote.

Woman, teenager charged with theft

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A juvenile and an 18-year-old Chambersburg woman are accused of stealing from a shop where they worked, Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg said.

Ashley Marie Runyon and the juvenile are charged with theft, police said. Police allege they took lottery tickets from the Carousel Ice Cream Shop on Warm Spring Road between July and September, a press release states.

Harrisburg, Pa., men charged in burglary

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Two Harrisburg, Pa., men were charged in the Nov. 18 burglary of Blazin' Auto on Pa. 16, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Police said that at 2:39 a.m., Robert Marrett Stewart, 38, and Martinel Lamar Hill, 26, were loading items into a van that was stolen from Fisher's Florist.

The men were charged with burglary, criminal conspiracy and two counts each of theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief.

Burglar takes guns, jewelry from home

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Firearms and jewelry were stolen from a home in the 2200 block of Shinham Road between 7:15 a.m. and 4:56 p.m. Wednesday, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release.

Sheriff's deputies respond to calls

The Washington County Sheriff's Department responded to the following calls Tuesday:

At 3 p.m., a student's wallet was reported stolen at Williamsport High School.

At 5 p.m., a BlackBerry device and a camera phone were reported stolen from a Ford F-150 truck that was left unlocked at Prime Outlets at Hagerstown.

At 5:30 p.m., a cell phone was reported stolen from a student's locker at Boonsboro Middle School.

At 9:30 p.m., a residence in the 21300 block of Mount Lena Road was burglarized. Two bracelets, a necklace and $800 in change were reported stolen.

At 11 a.m., the windshield of a Ford F-350 truck was reported damaged at Hagerstown Ford. The damage was estimated at $500.

At 11 a.m., several stepladders and tools were reported stolen from a construction site on Cool Hollow Road. They were valued at $700.

Suitland, Md., men facing drug charges

FREDERICK, Md. - Two Suitland, Md., men face drug charges after a police dog scanned the vehicle in which they were riding during a traffic stop, the Frederick County Sheriff's Department said.

Charles H. Evans, 45, is charged with possession of crack cocaine, possession of crack with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia, and Howard W. Hall, 31, is charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, the department said.
