Holiday centerpieces 101
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Participants will create a holiday centerpiece with candles and a variety of cut evergreens, and other natural elements. Container, greens, candles and ribbons will be provided. MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - The Heritage Craft Center of the Eastern Panhandle offers the following craft classes in December:
· How to make a gourd birdhouse, with Gretchen Meadows; 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturdays, Dec. 2 and 9; $42 plus a to-be-determined materials fee.
· Book art and paper decorating techniques, with Elizabeth Goins; 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 and 9; $42 plus a to-be-determined materials fee.
· Painting roses using a special watercolor technique, with Mary Kay Anderson; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2; $42 plus a to-be-determined materials fee.

Acting classes for children
Walker Performing Arts offers classes in theater skill development, voice and production - all preparing for a musical theater production of "The King and I" and "Beauty and the Beast."
