Thanksgiving meals

A number of free holiday meals will be hosted in the Tri-State area Thursday. A list of some of those meals is included here.

The 51st annual Thanksgiving Day lunch for the community at the Hagerstown Rescue Mission at 11:30 a.m. at the Trinity Center.

Activities for kids will start at 11 a.m.

Ellen Resh, co-founder of the mission, is turning 90 years old the day after Thanksgiving.

Grace United Methodist Church, Winter and Church streets, Hagerstown, will host its seventh annual community Thanksgiving dinner from noon to 3 p.m.

Meals also will be available for delivery in the Hagers-town area.

Williamsport United Methodist Church, 25 E. Church St., will host a Thanksgiving Day dinner for the community from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.


BOONSBORO - A community Thanksgiving Day meal will be served from noon to 5 p.m. in the fellowship hall at Boonsboro Bible Church, 6741 Old National Pike.

FREDERICK, Md. - The annual Thanksgiving Day dinner at the Frederick Rescue Mission, 419 W. South St., will be served from noon to 4 p.m.

Volunteers who want to help or make a gift are asked to contact Helen Kim at 301-695-6633, ext. 102.

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Antrim Assembly of God, 11192 Bemisderfer Road, will host its second annual Thanksgiving Day dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Meals also will be sent out to shut-ins in the surrounding area.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - St. Joseph Catholic Church will host its sixth annual community Thanksgiving Day dinner from noon to 4 p.m. at the church school, 110 E. Stephen St.
