Sheriff's deputies respond to calls

The Washington County Sheriff's Department responded to the following calls on Monday, Sgt. Roy Harsh said:

· At 3:40 p.m., a PlayStation Portable was reported stolen in the 13700 block of Kenneth Street. The game system was valued at $500.

· At 7:26 p.m., a 1996 Ford was reported egged in the 9600 block of Garis Shop Road. Damage was estimated between $600 and $700.

· At 7:50 p.m., cash was reported stolen from Sheetz, at 20723 National Pike.

· At 9:43 p.m., a scam was reported in the 15200 block of National Pike. A man said he paid $500 to have his driveway paved, but the person he paid never called him back.


· At 8:03 a.m., a shed was broken into in the 12100 block of Cedar Ridge Road. Police allege a 16-year-old boy, a runaway from Cedar Ridge Children's Home, broke into the shed or outbuilding. The boy was charged with fourth-degree burglary and misdemeanor theft.

· At 9:36 a.m., three vehicles parked at Hagerstown Motors, at 17703 Virginia Ave., were reported damaged. Damage was estimated at more than $500.

· At 10:39 a.m., pillars to Brethren Mutual Insurance Co., at 149 N. Edgewood Dr. were reported damaged, allegedly by skateboarders.

· At 11:47 a.m., a 20-inch Diamondback BMX bicycle was reported stolen in the 17600 block of Homewood Road.

· At 12:37 p.m., numerous guns and several DVDs were reported stolen in the 15500 block of Clear Spring Road.
