Man is shot in club parking in club parking lot

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Police say a 26-year-old man was shot several times early Sunday as he was driving out of the parking lot of the 5th Dimension nightclub at the intersection of Charles Town Road and Royal Crest Drive.

Teezar D. Taylor, address unknown, was in stable condition Sunday night at City Hospital, a hospital spokeswoman said.

The shooting occurred about 1:30 a.m. in a parking lot behind the 5th Dimension, according to a news release from the Berkeley County Sheriff's Department.

Taylor drove himself to City Hospital, where he was rushed into surgery with life-threatening wounds, the release said.

Based on witnesses and evidence from the scene, police said they are gathering information on the assailant.
