Thanksgiving meals

Several area agencies will be offering Thanksgiving meals this week.

The Salvation Army in Hagerstown will serve a Thanksgiving meal on Tuesday, complete with turkey and all of the traditional trimmings.

The meal will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Salvation Army headquarters at 534 W. Franklin St.

A regular daily meal will be served Wednesday. There will be no meal Thanksgiving Day.

Grace United Methodist Church, at Winter and Church streets in Hagerstown, will host its seventh annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday from noon to 3 p.m.


The menu will include turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, green beans, sauerkraut, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes and other items.

Along with the meal, there will be Christian fellowship and Thanksgiving with friends and family from the community.

Meals also will be available for delivery in the Hagerstown area.

WILLIAMSPORT - Williamsport United Methodist Church, at 25 E. Church St., will host a Thanksgiving Day dinner for the community from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

FREDERICK, Md. - The annual Thanksgiving Day dinner at the Frederick Rescue Mission will be served from noon to 4 p.m.

All who are homeless and hungry are invited to the mission at 419 W. South St.

BOONSBORO - A free community Thanksgiving Day meal will be served Thursday from noon to 5 p.m. in the fellowship hall at Boonsboro Bible Church.

The church is at 6741 Old National Pike, Boonsboro.
