St. John's Episcopal Church, the Rev. Scott Bellows will preach this Sunday at the 8 and 10:15 a.m. communion/healing services.

The children and youth choirs will provide music at the later service. Christian education classes for all ages begin at 9 a.m. including an adult forum discussing What Do Episcopalians Believe, Part 2.

The Rev. Quentin Fleming, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church will be the guest preacher for the 7:30 p.m. Thanksgiving Eve communion service. Combined choirs from the two churches, along with Joel Guyton, trumpet, will provide music.

St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Pastor David Kaplan will be preaching this Sunday at the combined 10:30 a.m. communion service on the topic, Agenda for Life.


Sunday school for all ages begins at 9:15 a.m.

On Wednesday, a joint Thanksgiving service of West End churches will be held at St. Mark's at 7 p.m.

Asbury United Methodist Church, Shepherdstown, W.Va., Lay Minister Paul Rosario will be speaking at the 11 a.m. service this Sunday.

Bible study will be held at the Shepherdstown Youth Center on Monday this week at 7 p.m. There will be no Wednesday youth fun night.

St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Smithsburg, the Rev. Mark C. Mooney will share a message on the topic, Just Perfect, at the 9:30 a.m. service this Sunday. A children's sermon with Mooney and his puppet friends will also highlight the morning service.

Sunday School classes for children, youth and adults are at 10:45 a.m. followed by a new members reception.

First Baptist Church, the Rev. Charles Schroer will speak at the 11 a.m. service this Sunday on the topic, Football, Feast or the Father.

Sunday school is at 9:45 a.m.

St. Catherine the Great Martyr Eastern Orthodox Church of Hagerstown, vespers are at 6:30 tonight followed by a video showing of "Where God Walks on Earth," a video tour of St. Catherine Monastery at Mount Sinai.

Father Dennis Buck will celebrate the Divine Liturgy of the 23nd Sunday after Pentecost. Sunday School meets directly after liturgy and coffee hour.

Nativity fast continues through Dec. 25.

Vespers will be Monday at 7:30 p.m. and divine liturgy on Tuesday at 10 a.m. for the entrance of the Theotokos into the Temple.

Divine Liturgy will be held Friday at 10 a.m. for our patron saint, St. Catherine the Great Martyr.

Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsport, Pastor Greg Martin will be speaking at the 8:15 and 10:45 a.m. services this Sunday on the topic, Tomorrow's Coming But What About Today?

Independent Bible Church, 2306 Hedgesville Road, Martinsburg, W.Va., the message this Sunday at 8, 9:15 and 10:45 a.m. is Jesus in Family Ties At 7 p.m., the topic is Psalms for Climbing.

Calvary United Methodist Church, Martinsburg, W.Va., the illustrated talk at the 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. services this Sunday will be Why We Come to God? The children, youth and handbell choirs will perform.

Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m.

Grace Brethren Church, 250 Philadelphia Ave., Waynesboro, Pa., Pastor Larry Weber will be speaking at morning worship at 10:35 a.m. this Sunday on the topic, Confession, Cleansing and Calamity.

Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages.

The Sunday evening service begins at 7 p.m. with the topic, A Time to Speak. AWANAS meet at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

Wednesday Bible study and prayer are at 1 and 7 p.m.

Zion United Church of Christ, at the 11 a.m. service this Sunday, the Rev. Robert Royal will speak on the topic, The Faith of Thankfulness.

Calvary Grace Brethren Church, Pastor Doug Courter will be speaking on the topic, My Name is Aaron, at 10:30 a.m. this Sunday.

Sunday school is at 9:15 a.m. Fall communion will be held after services at noon.

Welty Church of the Brethren, Greensburg, Pastor James Flora will be speaking this Sunday at 10:40 a.m. on the topic, The Attitude of Gratitude.

Mount Vernon Reformed UCC, Keedysville, Pastor Delancy Catlett will speak on the topic, The Joy of the Kingdom, at the 10:40 a.m. service this Sunday.

New Beginning Community Church, corner of Dual Highway and Beaver Creek Road, Hagerstown, Pastor Mark Snyder will be preaching this Sunday at the 11 a.m. worship service on How to Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

There will be special music.

Wednesday night Bible study is at 7 p.m. Pastor Mark Snyder will present his series, And He Called Me, dealing with questions on what the Christian responsibilities are after accepting Christ.

Shiloh United Methodist Church, Jacob Doyle will bring the message this Sunday at the 9:15 a.m. service.

Children's church is held during the service. Sunday school for all ages is at 10:40 a.m.

St. Peter's (Beard's) Lutheran Church, Old Forge Road, the Rev. David C. Baker will be speaking at the 9:15 a.m. service this Sunday. The topic is Hope in the Shadows.
