Mmmmm. Cookies.
The holiday season means many things, including The Herald-Mail's 15th annual Cookie Exchange.
Bakers are encouraged to share their favorite cookies with the newspaper's panel of judges for a chance to win $100.
On Monday, Dec. 4, or Tuesday, Dec. 5, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., drop off your favorite cookie recipe on a 3-inch-by-5-inch index card along with a dozen cookies.
Originality - meaning original recipes - will be a factor and will carry weight with the judges. We're not biased against the great chocolate chip cookie, but we'd rather not see Nestl Toll House's recipe word for word.
Be sure to include your name, hometown, daytime and evening phone numbers - in particular, the number at which we can reach you on the night of Dec. 5 after the judges taste the entries and choose a grand-prize winner. Contestants also must be available on Wednesday, Dec. 6, to have their photo taken with their winning cookies. So save some extra cookies in case you win.
