Corrections

A story on page A11 of Tuesday's Morning Herald contained an incorrect time for the house/ornament decorating contests at Olde Tyme Christmas in Funkstown. The contests will be judged Dec. 8 at 8:30 p.m.

A story on page A3 of Thursday's Morning Herald about Washington County Arts Council grants incorrectly reported the recipients of the grants. Grant recipients included: The Maryland Theatre, for a dance performance, $2,000; Maryland Symphony, for education programs, $2,400; Western Maryland Blues Fest, 12th annual, $5,000; Augustoberfest, $1,500; Hancock Arts Council, 2007 performance series, $1,000; Hagerstown Choral Arts, support of 2007 series, $1,500; Appalachian Wind Quintet, 2007 series, $1,000; Authentic Community Theatre, 2007 productions, $2,000; Potomac Classical Youth Ballet, 2007 performances, $3,500.

The Arts Council also funds awards for the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts photographic salon and an awards grant for art supply vouchers for members of the Arts Club at the Maryland Correctional Institution-Hagerstown.

Due to a reporter's error, information about Family Recreation Park's paintball facility was incorrect on page C1 of Tuesday's Morning Herald. While a majority of the park's offerings are closed for the season, the paintball facility remains open. Jayne Angle, park manager, said she expects the park to offer paintball year-round. The hours for the paintball arena are Wednesday to Friday from 5 to 10 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 10 p.m. Other times can be arranged by appointment.

The Herald apologizes for the mistakes.
