North Hagerstown Hubs (6-3) at South Hagerstown Rebels (4-5)

Series: Tied, 24-24-1.

Last meeting: 2005 - North Hagerstown, 42-15.

Last week: The Hubs beat Catoctin, 49-36. ... The Rebels lost to Boonsboro, 41-8.

Notes: The Hubs have won the last three meetings. ... The Hubs can clinch their third Maryland Class 2A West playoff berth in four years with a victory. ... North played its first football game at Mike Callas Stadium with a win over Catoctin that put the Hubs in a 3-way tie for the MVAL Antietam lead with the Cougars and Boonsboro. ... In their four MVAL wins the Hubs have averaged 49 points a game. ... Justin Donaldson had three scores for the Hubs, Jarell Hasan scored twice and Logan Kelso pass for one score and ran for another. ... The Hubs had 433 total yards. ...The Rebels were victims of five turnovers and the defense gave up 220 yards in the first half against Boonsboro when the Rebels fell behind, 41-0. ... Eric Phillips was a bright spot for the Hubs, scoring on a 4-yard run and rushing for 146 yards on 16 carries.


Boonsboro Warriors (7-2) at Smithsburg Leopards (5-4)

They could earn a home playoff game with a victory and a Fort Hill win over Allegany on Saturday. ... The Warriors gained a share of the first-place tie in the MVAL Antietam combined with North's win over Catoctin. ... The Warriors hit South Hagerstown with a 41-point first half. ... Matt Wetzel had an 85-yard kickoff return and 5-yard TD run. ... QB Mike DeBarge threw for two touchdown passes, two to Kyle Kane, who also scored on a 3-yard run. ... The Leopards, after starting the MVAL schedule with three losses, have won three straight. ... The Leopards had 341 total yards against Clear Spring. ... Chad Brown ran for 111 yards and Bryan Faulders threw for 113 yards and three scores.

Andrew Minelli threw for 65 yards and scored Williamsport's only TD last week. ... Kyle McDannell rushed for a game-high 89 yards on 22 carries. ... Notes: The Trojans were awarded their only victory of the season when it was found Colonel Richardson had used ineligible players in their first five games of the season. ... The Warriors have allowed 43 points per game and have scored only one TD in their last three games and average 8.8 per game. ... The Panthers need a victory to avoid their first winless season since going 0-10 in 1996. ... Kaleb Trail ran the ball 28 times and picked up 76 yards for Hancock against Berkeley Springs. ... In eight games, other than allowing only 8 points to Clarksburg, the Panthers have given up 35 points a game.

Greencastle Blue Devils (7-3) at Susquehannock Warriors (9-1)

The Warriors lost to Gettysburg 31-15 in the 2005 playoffs. ... The Blue Devils are the No. 12 seed, the Warriors are seeded fifth. ... The teams played regular-season games from 1993 to 1995, with the Blue Devils outscoring Warriors 92-19 in those three games. ... The Warriors won the York Athletic Association (YAIAA) with a 6-0 record. ... The Trojans had a balanced offense againt York with 191 yards rushing and 111 passing. ...
