It is useless because the light is too pale and too high up to be recognized by a driver looking straight ahead. In addition, a white line near the corner of Rosebank does not visibly mark the entrance of the street for drivers coming from the direction of the college.

Between Oct. 16 and Oct. 24, there were three serious accidents on the stretch of land referred to in the petition; one at the corner of Rosebank Way, a three-car accident a littler farther down toward the Medical Campus and another at the little shopping center near HCC. Every year, over four years, an apartment tenant has been involved in an accident that demolished their car.

Contact made with the sheriff's department revealed that between January and Oct. 24, 2006, there were 24 serious accidents along the portion of Robinwood tenants want to improve.

Tenants at the apartment complex have heard reasons why significant action has not been taken in their favor. Mostly those excuses have to do with plans for the future, "There's gonna be...." The tenants want something to happen NOW before winter's darkness and fog arrive making matters worse. The tenants are saying, "We want all you authority figures to get together, become a team, make a fuss for a good cause. Move your way through the usual excuses and use your combined influence for safety's sake."
