At its October meeting, the Hagerstown Branch of the American Association of University Women met at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts.

Meg Dameron, the museum's curatorial coordinator, spoke on the history of the museum and AAUW's role in that history. Starting in 1978, AAUW has given 18 pieces of artwork to the museum, all but two from area artists.

In celebration of the museum's 75th anniversary, AAUW presented its latest addition to the museum's collection, "Full Moon," an oil painting by Chambersburg, Pa., artist Ski Holm.

Holm was present at the meeting and spoke to the group about his painting.

Refreshments were served, after which members were able to browse the AAUW collection, which is on display at the museum through November.
