Charles and Joyce Jones of Hagerstown announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Nichole Jones, to Franklin Jacob Doyle, son of Jay and Debbie Doyle of Smithsburg.

Miss Jones is a 2004 graduate of Washington County Technical High School, received an associate of arts degree in general studies and completed the practical nursing program at Hagerstown Community College this year. She is employed as a licensed practical nurse at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro.

Mr. Doyle is a 1999 graduate of Smithsburg High School and received a bachelor's degree in wildlife biology from Frostburg State University in 2004. He is employed as a park service associate with the Maryland Park Service at Cunningham Falls State Park in Thurmont, Md.


A May 19, 2007, wedding is planned.


Gerald and Mary Anne Kamas of Hagerstown announce the engagement of their son, Stephen Aloysius Kamas, to Kathryn O'Shea Lefebure, daughter of Richard and Letty Lefebure of Frederick, Md.

Ms. Lefebure is a 2001 graduate of Frederick High School and received a bachelor's degree in business marketing from University of Maryland in 2005. She is employed as a marketing coordinator with the National Wildlife Federation in Reston, Va.

Mr. Kamas is a 2001 graduate of St. Maria Goretti High School and graduated magna cum laude from University of Maryland in 2005 with a degree in nuclear engineering. He was commissioned an officer in the U.S. Navy this year and is employed as a nuclear engineer in Washington, D.C.

A fall 2007 wedding is planned.


Polly Anna Gindlesperger and Christian Cunningham, both of Indian Trail, N.C., announce their engagement.

Miss Gindlesperger is the daughter of William and Maxine Gindlesperger and Joan Gindlesperger, all of Chambersburg. She is a 1995 graduate of Penn State University and a 1998 graduate of Webster University.

Mr. Cunningham is the son of Thomas and Sharon Cunningham of Matthews, N.C. He is a 1994 graduate of University of North Carolina. He is service manager and owner of International Construction Equipment in Matthews.

A Dec. 31, 2006, wedding is planned.
