Jasmine Lesky, 8, won a beautiful quilt in a drawing held Aug. 31 at Villa Maria of Washington County. The quilt was made by several women of St. Augustine's Parish in Williamsport. Marie Wilkes, organizer of the quilt project, reports that 45 children also assisted in the stitching. Jasmine is the daughter of Matthew Lesky. She is a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Halfway. The raffle helped to raise more than $800, which will benefit Villa Maria of Washington County, a behavioral health program of Catholic Charities. The money raised will be used to pay for mental health services at Villa.
