SuZanne Glocker says she believes success in real estate comes from "honest, hard work" and a desire to "truly help" clients.

She's tried to operate on those principles since starting her real estate career in Hagerstown in 1991. Previously, she had managed the purchasing department at Celeste Industries in Easton, Md., her Eastern Shore hometown.

SuZanne and her husband and associate, Gary, were able to increase their sales to $20 million at the Hagerstown Coldwell Banker brokerage in 1998. In 1999, SuZanne and Gary formed "The Glocker Group" within the Coldwell brokerage.

Now, SuZanne, Gary and their associates have established a new independent brokerage, The Glocker Group Realty Results, Inc., at 1741 Dual Highway. The present group consists of five agents and five support-staff professionals.

SuZanne says she, her agents and support staff are "more like a family" who work for the "good of the client." She believes that her brokerage can provide "professional real estate services" in the community through knowledge and expertise.

"You feel a bond with the client" she says, when you keep the client's best interests in mind.

She attributes the success of The Glocker Group to listening to and understanding customers' needs. Also important, she says, are pricing properties accurately, advertising in the most-read and most-seen marketing vehicles, using top-notch negotiating skills, and most of all, "giving 100 percent of ourselves to customer service."

SuZanne began her success in real estate in 1992 when she was named "Rookie of the Year" for the Hagerstown Association of Realtors and won "Top Producer" honors among 450 Realtors in the Hagerstown/Washington County area.

SuZanne Glocker and The Glocker Group have been among the Top 100 Real Estate Agents in the United States ranked by "Realtor" magazine in number of transactions from 2001 through 2005.

Gary, who worked 24 years in transportation sales and management before joining SuZanne in real estate in 1997, enjoys selling land, residential listings, investment properties, and is consistently one of the top commercial agents in the region.

After working as a golf professional for two years at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Course, agent Eddie Jefferson returned to Hagerstown to pursue his business interests and has proven to be a natural, continuing the family tradition of real estate sales by joining his mother, SuZanne, and stepfather, Gary.

Agent Laurel Walker is a lifetime resident of Hagerstown who worked at the Rescue Mission for her father, Jimmy Resh, until she began helping people to buy and sell their homes in 1991. She continues assisting at the mission by serving on the board of directors, singing with The Missionaries, and volunteering in various capacities.

John Hamsher, another Glocker Group agent, previously worked for Potomac Edison (Allegheny Power) and First Data Corporation and began selling real estate part-time in 1999, before making real estate his full-time career in 2003.

SuZanne says not only is her support staff important to the success of The Glocker Group Realty Results, "they are the best."

Office Manager Susan Hultsch has 21 years of real estate experience and became SuZanne's personal assistant in 1992. Misty Koontz, Kim Lewis, Julie Walker and Ginger Giles work together to provide excellent "behind the scenes" support for the sales agents.

The Glockers say "It's the Results that Count!" is the primary focus of the entire staff. All agents work together and "leave no stone unturned" to sell properties at high volumes and in swift time to put buyers into their dream houses.

"We work hard every day and are enthusiastic about our job," SuZanne says. "We help people achieve their goals."
