The public is invited to a special concert of early banjo music at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Pry House Field Hospital Museum in Keedysville. The concert on the lawn is sponsored by the National Museum of Civil War Medicine.
The concert will feature Civil War and antebellum-era music performed in the correct period style on reproduction and original banjos.
The gates to the property will open at 7 p.m. and close with the first performer promptly at 8 p.m. Admission costs $5 for anyone 16 or older. Admission is free for anyone younger than 16. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket since the concert will be held on the lawn. If it is raining, the concert will be moved into the Pry House Barn.
