Vehicle thefts, other crimes reported<


The Washington County Sheriff's Department responded to the following calls since Wednesday, Sgt. Roy Harsh said:


· At 6:48 a.m., a black Honda Civic was reported missing from the 11500 block of Robinwood Drive. The car had Maryland registration, JXX422.

· At 7:09 a.m., a Gator utility vehicle was reported stolen from a shed at Martin L. "Marty" Snook Memorial Park, at 17901 Halfway Blvd. The Gator, apparently taken for a joy ride, was found later in the park.

On Wednesday:

· At 8:51 a.m., a change purse was reported stolen from a Kia Sorento parked in the 9600 block of Wandering Lane.


· At 9:05 a.m., 11 sets of clippers were reported stolen from Hair Concepts of South Pointe, at 120 E. Oak Ridge Drive. The door was also damaged.

· At 10:03 a.m., an alleged breaking and entering was reported in the 16700 block of Virginia Avenue. A purse was reported stolen.

· At 10:19 a.m., $200 in cash was reported missing from Nail Pro, at 120 E. Oak Ridge Drive. No forced entry was found.

· At 10:23 a.m., a Visa card was reported stolen and used at Red Lobster.

· At 10:34 a.m., a convertible top of a Ford Mustang was reported cut in the 11500 block of Robinwood Drive.

Boy, 16, missing from Cedar Ridge

The Washington County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help to find a 16-year-old boy who's been missing since Sunday, according to a written release.

Michael Aaron Payne left the Cedar Ridge Boys Home, 12138 Cedar Ridge Road in Williamsport, on Sunday, the release states.

Payne might be in the Hagerstown area, where his family lives, deputies said.

Deputies gave the following description of the boy: He was last seen wearing a red shirt and red pants. He is about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds with a thin build. He has blue eyes and short blond hair.

Deputies ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the department at 301-791-3020.
