MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A 24-year-old Berkeley County man and his girlfriend were charged Tuesday in the robbing and stabbing of a 61-year-old man Oct. 18 in the game room of the Hot Dog Hut off Medical Court in Martinsburg, according to Martinsburg Police.

Jason Eliasar Luna and Amanda Lee Nelson, 27, both of 198 Catrow Road, were arraigned by Berkeley County Magistrate Joan V. Bragg, who set a $100,000 bond for each case, court records show.

Luna was charged with armed robbery and malicious wounding, and Nelson was charged with aiding and abetting armed robbery and aiding and abetting malicious wounding, records show.

Police were able to identify the accused with the help of surveillance video footage at the business and individuals who positively identified the pair in the 1:15 a.m. incident, according to a complaint filed by Detective Sgt. G.B. Swartwood.

The man told police he was sitting on a stool in the game room playing a video lottery machine when he saw a man and woman come into the room and eat a donut.

After the woman left and he briefly left his stool to get a Pepsi, the man told police the male came up behind him and put his arm around his neck and then ordered him to give up his money, Swartwood said.

A struggle between the two ensued before the accused ran from the room, jumped into a car and drove away with five $20 bills belonging to the victim, police allege.

The victim was cut on the neck and nose and had two stab wounds to his torso, Swartwood said in his report.
