St. James 42, Bishop Walsh 0

SAINT JAMES - Jimmy Sutch ran for 180 yards and scored three touchdowns to lead St. James to a victory over Bishop Walsh.

Sutch scored on the Saints' first play from scrimmage, going 58 yards for the only points St. James needed.

That didn't stop St. James from scoring, however. Quarterback Mike Russ connected with Eddie Dorsey for an 82-yard touchdown pass later in the first quarter.

Idara Umoren scored on an 18-yard run, Sutch returned a punt 85 yards for a score, then added an 8-yard scoring run as the Saints (2-5) took a 35-0 lead at halftime.

Drew St. Lawrence scored the only points of the second half, recovering a fumble in the end zone after Sutch was stripped of the ball while going for his fourth touchdown.

The Saints recorded 12 sacks in the game, including four by Alfred Titus-Glover, and held the Spartans (3-4) to minus-67 rushing yards and 64 total yards.

Northern Garrett 35, Hancock 0

HANCOCK - Corey Carr and Blair Silbaugh scored two rushing touchdowns each and Northern Garrett totaled 335 yards on the ground in a shutout victory over Hancock (0-7).

Garrett Gulledge added a rushing touchdown for the Huskies (3-4).
