Pet of the week

October 14, 2006

Mu Shu, a playful orange tabby, might have a craving for Japanese food. In August, he was found wondering outside the House of Kobe, a Japanese restaurant on Dual Highway.

Mu Shu is a male, about seven months old. He has short hair and amber eyes. He is friendly and playful. When Mu Shu first came to the Humane Society of Washington County, he was sick but has been recovering in foster care and is now healthy and ready for a new home.

For information on how to adopt Mu Shu, visit the Humane Society of Washington County at 13011 Maugansville Road near Hagerstown or call 301-733-2060.

Pet tip: Cat exercise

Set aside time to play with your cat. While cats do not need the same level of exercise that dogs do, enjoying regular play sessions with pets will provide them with the physical exercise and mental stimulation they need, as well as strengthen the bond between owner and pet.
