Benjamin Art Gallery, LLC presents Rebecca Pearl's premiere release of the third limited edition print of the Hagerstown Series. The release of the third print, titled "On Time - Walnut Lane," coincides with the Rebecca Pearl Art Show hosted by the art gallery from Nov. 17 to 25.
"On Time - Walnut Lane" is Pearl's third painting of Hagerstown and provides a historic view looking south on Walnut Street, which used to be known as Walnut Lane.
This winter scene features the No. 42 steam engine arriving at the Cumberland Valley Railroad Station, which was torn down in 1967. St. Mary Catholic Church stands proudly in the background, along with brick rowhouses that no longer exist.
St. Mary Catholic School will benefit from a portion of the proceeds from each print sold before March 1, 2007.
Pearl, who lives in Rocky Ridge, Md., received her formal art training at the Schuler School of Fine Art and the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. A member of the Baltimore Watercolor Society since 1980, Pearl has exhibited widely on the East Coast and received many awards for her paintings.
