Quintet The Browns to perform in Chambersburg

October 12, 2006|by TIFFANY ARNOLD

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The quintet The Browns will perform a gospel concert at The Capitol Theatre at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15.

The Browns will give a sneak preview of what to expect during two abbreviated morning shows at Air Hill Brethren in Christ Church in Chambersburg, where they're scheduled to perform as part of the church's Sunday morning service.

The Browns - not to be mistaken for the 1960s brother-sister country duo of the same name (or The 5 Browns, a group of classical music performers) - are a musical family. They tour the country performing Southern-style gospel. The performers have recently released a 10-track album, "River of Love." The album is available on The Browns' Web site,

Tickets to The Capitol Theatre show are available at the theater's box office from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The box office also will be open one hour before showtime. More information is available at
