CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A Virginia woman injured in a Friday morning crash in Chambersburg died Sunday of her injuries in Altoona (Pa.) Regional Hospital, according to Blair County Coroner Patricia Ross.

Laura Bookheimer, 76, of Richmond, Va., died of blunt force trauma and renal failure, Ross said Tuesday night. Bookheimer was a passenger in a 2003 Lincoln Town Car driven by her husband, Robert Lee Bookheimer, Ross said.

Pennsylvania State Police said Robert Bookheimer was driving a 2003 Lincoln Town Car east on U.S. 30 at 11:46 a.m. when he turned left to go onto the northbound on-ramp of Interstate 81 at Exit 16. The car was struck on the passenger side by a westbound Mack truck driven by Dennis L. Shaffer II, 27, of Chambersburg.

Robert Bookheimer and Shaffer had minor injuries in the crash, police said.
