Y2Knit participating in effort to provide caps for infants

October 10, 2006

FUNKSTOWN - The Warm Up America Foundation and the international children's charity Save the Children are partnering in a new program called Knitters and Crocheters for Newborns: Caps to the Capital.

Participating in this effort is Y2Knit in Funkstown.

Anyone who is interested in getting involved in the effort may pick up a free skein of yarn and pattern at Y2Knit, 100 E. Baltimore St., Funkstown, or download a pattern from y2knit.net/Funkstown.htm.

Those participating are being asked to knit or crochet a cap and take the completed cap to Y2Knit by Dec. 20.

Y2Knit will collect caps, tag them, and mail them to Save the Children according to the program protocol.
