SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Ashlee Allen had eight kills, six digs and five aces while Kori Ford added a team-high 12 kills as Shepherd swept Pitt-Johnstown, 30-28, 30-24, 30-28.

Lauren Durbin had seven kills and Susanna Hill added a team-high 15 digs for the Rams (6-14).

Pitt-Johnstown falls to 10-8 with the loss.

Fowkes scores for Catamounts

BOONE, N.C. - Western Carolina freshman Shannon Fowkes, the former Smithsburg star, scored the first two goals of her collegiate career in the Catamounts' 3-2 victory over Appalachian State on Thursday.

Fowkes' second goal came with only 13 left on the game clock, breaking a 2-2 tie, as Western Carolina improved to 6-5-2.
